The friendship between China and
Armenia has a long history. China was one of the first countries to recognize
Armenia. Over the past few years, the Belt and Road Initiative has won positive
responses from numerous countries. Armenia is one of them. Nowadays, companies
in China and Armenia have achieved considerable cooperation in the areas of
infrastructure connectivity, energy facilities, communication facilities and production
capacity. On May 26, 2019, China and Armenia signed an agreement on mutual visa
exemption for ordinary passport holders. Over the past 20 years and more,
bilateral relations have developed smoothly. Therefore, this donation is
conductive to the joint efforts of the two countries in fighting the epidemic.
